FUN FUN FUN

I just got back from a great BBQ at a friends house on the lake. It was fabulous. The kids were swimming, the adults were hanging and everyone was happy. Then a few thunder storms came through and it ended pretty quickly. But a very laid back party and fun.

I just stumbled on another blog today and it is so fun and creative. You will have to check it out - she is a designer of fabrics and has SEVEN children and she looks all about 20 years old. Well vacation is nearing and I am hoping to kick back and do alot of creating - yes I want to bring my sewing machine with me. But... we will see what the kids let me do.... they often NEED all of my attention.

These flippys are from coldwater creek and I just love them. My girlfriend KB bought a pair for me after I ooooohed and awwwed when I saw hers. I think that because I will wear them so much that after I am through with them I will make myself a bracelet for me and my BF Brenda with the beads. Won't they look just beautiful???

Where is the summer going????

I am not so sure but the summer is slipping through my fingers. With 4 kids and each and everyone of them having somewheres to go, whether it is an appointment or a game or a friends. So in between me trying to work part time, and all the other mom stuff. We are half way through the summer. YIKES.....

My goal is to do some creative things like sewing, Jewelry making and anything else that will make me happy....

Softball is over, (Yup that is my Chloe at bat during her ALL STAR season), baseball is over and soccer and hockey and the dreaded (school) will begin real soon.

April Showers Bring May Flowers.......

This is the third day of showers but everything is soooooo green. The flowers will be absolutely beautiful once this all stops.

Ok, it is now 2008 and life is VERY busy.

What makes me happy these days? Eleanor and Beatrice our kitty's. They kitty's have grown and have added so much love to our country home.

I have started sewing ALOT and bags are so much fun to make. Once I get a few more made I will post to my new Etsy - http://www.etsy.com/ site. It will be great and I might even take custom orders.

What a Day!!!!

Well, I have decided to start posting yet again. It has been a crazy year, but we got through it... I am trying to spend time for me and then be able to take all of that good energy and bring it to my kids.

Today was a great softball day for Chloe - she pitched so great and even though they lost, she hung in there with a great attitude. Girl Power !! Game tomorrow morning 8:00am!! Ugh!

I also got some great letters from Deb Damboise - started to alter them and need to finish tonight - I will post them on my next blog.... Check out her web site http://sayitwithletters.blogspot.com/. Her letters are so great!!

The Sun Was Out

Today was such a great day!! The sun was shining and that made me happy!!

I love coming home to my beautiful house and smelling the fall in the air. The leaves are changing just a bit and it is a small glimpse as to what is to come. The chimney needs to be swept and then a big roaring fire....


Happiness is also receiving a gift of the heart from such a great friend. Words of wisdom to get me through.... Thank you Rachel....

And Marcia, thank you for always lending an ear!! You are the best!!

So I will hold onto that feeling when the sun is warm and the air is cool whenever I have an unhappy moment.

Helping a Friend

Today I had a much happier day!! I think when I help people I feel more accomplished in my life. Helping myself..... well that is all together a harder thing for me.

Today I helped a friend get caught up. It felt so good to help and I know how HAPPY she is because of this.

Happiness is also soccer. Today I had a game for my son to go to and it was so much fun to see him play the whole game. Although we lost it was still FUN!!

JUST ONE MOMENT AT A TIME

Do you ever just need to take one day or even moment at a time to get through.... I often just have to remind myself of this. Each day I try to find happiness in each and every thing. But... some days it is just hard. A harsh word by a friend... unintentional I am sure... kids having meltdowns and all you want to do is have one yourself..... the never ending cleaning....


But that is when I have to turn it around and remember how good things are. Happy Really.....

I get into these funks and just can't get out of them. But then my friends show up and hang out with me to get me through. And the feeling from that is just... WOW... someone cares that much about me. Someone made the effort for me... Then I feel how silly I was to be in funk in the first place and to worry my friends.

I had a friend who once said... Being happy is so much easier than being sad or angry. I agree. But sometimes it is just hard...

So to my friends. Thank you...... I love you and thank you for being there.

A WHOLE DAY TO MYSELF

Today was incredible.

Cady went on her first bus ride with the biggest smile ever!!

Chloe started middle school.

Being alone in my house for a few moments of time.


Although extremely selfish, happiness today was spending the day with my friend Marcia!!

The kids came home happy and excited. What a great feeling.

SHOPPING!!!

Today my happiness was shopping with my four beautiful, fun and crazy happy kids..... Phew... What a day!!

Everyone was happy!! That doesn't happen usually and tomorrow is the first day of school.....

Another Happy thing is... Cady my youngest daughter lost her Second big tooth. She is no longer a little girl... She is going to first grade all day. And I quote... "I LOVE SCHOOL, I GET TO LEARN" - So Cute.

So Remember to find happy things to make your day go a little better. Today for me it was shopping with four kids - CRAZY HAPPY and only a mother could love it!!

Well, for me it is all about being happy and doing things to make you happy!! I lOVE to scrapbook and create!! In fact I was so inspired to start a blog by ellsie Flannigan http://elsieflannigan.blogspot.com/ !! She rocks!! And so here it is! This blog will be all about life (mine) and how crazy it is at times and with any luck I will be posting fun things to look at!!

I love to go junking too!! If it is on the side of the road and free, even better!! I will post a picture of my favorite find... Yes it was free!! People love to giggle at me and give me a hard time... but it makes me Happy!!
